Dr. Afua Antwiwaah
Founder/Owner/CEO
Afua Antwiwaah has served in the nursing profession for twenty-five years thus far. As a life-long learner, she applies her vast educational knowledge to her current work positions.
She started her nursing career as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1998. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Honolulu, Hawaii at the University of Phoenix Waikiki Campus in 2005. Afua Antwiwaah continued her education by earning a Master of Science in nursing and obtaining a Clinical Nurse Specialist degree specializing in Women’s Health in 2012 at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.
After transitioning to Augusta, Georgia in 2013, Afua Antwiwaah earned a Postgraduate Masters as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2015 from the University of Massachusetts Boston College of Nursing and Health Sciences in Boston, Massachusetts.
Lastly, Afua Antwiwaah obtained her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Healthcare Systems Leadership in April 2020 from Chamberlain University in Schaumburg, Illinois. Dr. Afua Antwiwaah holds a leadership position in Obstetrics and Gynecology, held a leadership position for a Women’s Health Unit covering L&D, NICU, and Postpartum, has worked as a Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner (SAMFE) and Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) and a Clinical Instructor for L&D to name a few. Her nursing career has provided service to military treatment facilities near and far combined with several civilian healthcare entities.
Throughout her career, her experiences have been valuable and have provided life-long lessons. She has gained knowledge, has established a network of colleagues around the globe, and is proud most of all to be of service to all walks of life. Dr. Afua Antwiwaah is a mother of five and enjoys traveling, decorating, and DIY projects.
Angela Tapley-Marsh
Office Manager
Angela has been in the medical field for over 25 years and has served as a PCT III, EMT-I, a Certified Medical Assistant, and as a Medical Office Administrator. She has also served as a Kilpatrick Baptist Association Chaplain along with being a Crisis Interventionist. She has loved every opportunity to serve the community and looks forward to bringing her knowledge and skills to Augusta’s Premiere Lactation Services.
