Going back to work after exclusively breastfeeding can be challenging. Our consultants can help you integrate pumping into your work schedule to ensure a seamless transition.
Slow Weight Gain
Sometimes infants may fall behind on the growth curve. Our lactation consultants can work with you and your pediatrician to optimize breastfeeding before introducing supplemental nutrition.
Painful Latch
Latch issues are more common than you may think. Our certified lactation consultants have tools and strategies to help make you more comfortable while nursing.
What to expect during your visit:
Initial Visits: Complicated and Uncomplicated
Infant weight check (pre/post feed)
Assess lactating parent technique
Re-evaluate goals and plan accordingly
Review health history of mother and baby
Physical Breast Assessment of the lactating parent
Physical Assessment of the baby (weight check, oral exam of baby, observe a feed)
Assist with breastfeeding challenges indicated by:
Prematurity
Cleft lip/palate
Tongue tie without repair
Slow weight gain
GI/GU diagnosis
Cardiac diagnosis
Follow-Up Visits: Complicated and Uncomplicated
Infant weight check (pre/post feed)
Assess lactating parent technique
Re-evaluate goals and plan accordingly
